GE Aerospace: Investing in Hermosillo & Saltillo

GE Aerospace announced a US$43 million investment in its manufacturing plants in Hermosillo and Saltillo, reaffirming its long-term commitment to its operations, employees, and customers.
The Hermosillo plant will undergo a major modernization through a series of projects focused on capacity, reliability, and facility improvements. The new investment will fund new tools to enable higher production volumes and quality, large-scale machinery, and material handling equipment to improve efficiency and productivity.
It will also include high-precision calibration and measurement equipment to ensure more consistent, standardized processes aligned with the highest quality standards.
In Saltillo, the company will allocate $2.01 million to the acquisition of new equipment, tool upgrades, and infrastructure improvements; enabling it to modernize its facilities, increase operational efficiency, and strengthen its ability to respond to the projected growing demand from the aerospace sector.
The strategic focus areas in Saltillo are: new production equipment to boost industrial capacity and efficiency; tool and technology upgrades to strengthen process quality with the goal of ensuring greater consistency and precision in production; and infrastructure improvements aimed at optimizing the layout of operational areas.
