General Motors investing US$500 million in Guanajuato

General Motors is not stopping investment in Guanajuato and is currently working on an expansion of its Silao complex to integrate a transmission plant, with investment over US$500 million. A source close to this project mentioned that their main providers are also in a stage of changes to become aligned in time for the needs the assembler will have. This investment is part of the announcement made by GM in 2015, when investment valued at US$5 billion in Mexico was announced for projects during the 2014-2018 period.
