InTiCa Systems AG, a Germany-based supplier of electronic customized solutions, officially opened in recent days its first manufacturing site outside Europe, which is located at the Guanajuato Puerto Interior industrial park in Guanajuato state.

The company invested US$ 6.8 million in the 54,000 square-feet facility where 60 workers manufacture automotive components for several auto suppliers.

“With the foundation of our new subsidiary, Sistemas Mecatrónicos InTiCa S.A.P.I. de C.V., we once again make an essential step forward in our plans for growth. The new 5000 square meter production area provides a modern manufacturing base that meets international requirements for a manufacturer supplying the automobile industry,” said the company in a statement.

Initially the plant will focus on the main products of the company’s automotive technology business segment, especially in the sector of actuator technology as well as the drive and access authorization systems.

One of InTiCa’s main customers is Bosch, but the company currently works on four different programs for a same number of contracts it was recently awarded, according to unofficial sources.
