Gestamp plans to expand in San Luis Potosí

SAN LUIS POTOSI - Gestamp, a Spanish company focused on the manufacture of systems and components for the automotive industry, announced its intentions to expand in San Luis Potosí.

Juan Carlos Valladares Eichelman, minister of Economic Development in San Luis Potosí, held a meeting with executives of the Spanish company Gestamp, which recently announced an important investment in the state, focused on the automotive industry.

This will generate new sources of employment and will bring with it the interest of other companies in the industry to locate in the state.

The minister revealed that the company, which manufactures systems and components for the automotive industry, announced its intentions to expand in San Luis Potosi in the short term, following the rapprochement achieved by Governor Ricardo Gallardo in the industrial promotion tour that took place in Europe.

The head of Sedeco, informed that this announcement is part of the permanent work being carried out in San Luis Potosi to increase global investment in the state, thus consolidating its position among the main attractors of Foreign Direct Investment.

Valladares explained that the amount and number of investments made in recent months places San Luis Potosi among the five economies in Mexico with the greatest growth, dynamism of its productive plant and employment opportunities for the people of San Luis Potosi.

In the presence of the company's CEO, César Pontvianne de la Maza, and Gestamp's Head of Institutional Relations, Mireia Arroyo, Valladares Eichelmann reiterated that the current government, through its economic cabinet, will accompany and monitor the companies' investment and growth plans.
