GKN Driveline opens new plant in Guanajuato

GKN Driveline, a manufacturing company, is expanding its capacities, thus starting production at its new industrial building in the Municipality of Villagran, Guanajuato, with an investment of US$17.5 million, to take care of both local and global demands of the automotive market. The second plant belonging to Villagran, will stand in a 12,000 square meters area, and once its peak capacity has been reached, it expects to produce drive lines for over 1 million vehicles a year, with 380 active workers. Fidel Otake, VP of Operations of GKN Driveline Mexico, pointed out that this new opening at the GKN Mexico plant, marks the beginning of a new stage. Audi, BMW, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford, Honda, Mazda, Nissan and Volkswagen, are some of the clients of this powerful Company.
