GLN Mexico announces expansion in Querétaro
QUERETARO - GLN, a company of Portuguese origin, announced the expansion of its operations in Mexico, with an investment of more than US$9.5 million.
According to the plastics company, the new project will be installed in the Airport Industrial Park, Querétaro. In this regard, Rui Sergio Marques, administrator and CEO in Mexico, pointed out that the state was chosen due to its location and infrastructure.
“Querétaro provides the stability we needed to expand our customer portfolio, include products in the value chain and provide greater competitiveness for the automotive sector,” the company said.
For his part, Manuel Carvalho, Portugal's ambassador to Mexico, highlighted the state's business dynamics as an example for the entire country.
“The relationship between Portugal and Mexico is strong and we are celebrating 160 years of diplomatic ties. There are many success stories, such as the company that is expanding its operations today,” said Carvalho.
The ceremony was presided over by Marco Antonio Del Prete, head of the Secretariat of Sustainable Development (Sedesu), on behalf of Governor Mauricio Kuri. During the event, the official affirmed that this injection is proof that the state is on the right track and has a promising future.
