Grupo Cano inaugurates new plant in Juarez

JUAREZ, CHIH – Grupo Cano inaugurated its new production plant in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, with the aim of generating 300 formal jobs.

Grupo Cano invested US$12 million in the construction of the new plant. Alejandro Cano Ricaud, Director and Chairman of the Board of Grupo Cano, explained that with these new facilities, up to 1,500 tons of construction materials will be exported to the United States.

In her speech, the governor of Chihuahua, Maru Campos, recognized the daily work of the workforce of the company that produces structures for the manufacturing industry, since in addition to providing a livelihood for their homes, they also promote the state through exports. 

“I celebrate the inauguration of this plant because it means a juncture of opportunities for Juarez,” said Campos Galvan, who also emphasized that the investments that come to the state must be transformed into jobs for the people of Chihuahua, through business leaders who are inserted in the production chain with the will to positively impact the community. 

During the ceremony, Margarito Espinoza Espinoza was recognized for his 35 years of service in the company; Jorge Rodallegas Hinojosa, for his dedication and excellence; and Alejandro Cano Trespalacios, for his outstanding work as a young executive.

The inauguration event was also attended by Ulises Alejandro Fernández Gamboa, Secretary of Innovation and Economic Development, and the Mayor of Ciudad Juárez, Cruz Pérez Cuellar.

The Mayor of Juarez, Cruz Perez Cuellar, also accompanied the Grupo Cano businessmen at the inauguration of the new plant.
