Grupo GLN from Portugal got installed in Queretaro

Grupo GLN, a Portuguese company in the business of making technical high precision molds and plastic injection, announced the inauguration of its new complex in the State of Queretaro. This new plant represents investment valued at around US$ 2.5 million, with an expected business volume of US$ 2 million by the end of the year, as well as the creation of almost 20 jobs in that  period. “We fully trust that the business volume of this new factory will quickly reach US$ 5 million”, said João Bento, a top executive of Grupo Gestmin, in a press release. GLN exports nearly 75% of its total production, which is divided into four business sectors: Molds, dedicated to manufacturing technical molds; Famolde, which complements the Group’s existing market segments; Plast, in charge of the injection of technical plastic pieces, and GLN Innov, that develops integrated projects. “The development of the automotive sector in Mexico is a unique opportunity for business internationalization and a gamble of the Group in new geographical locations, such as the American continent”, said Bento.
