Brewing Company Grupo Modelo is going to announce investment valued at roughly US$736 million for Mexico, with the objective of increasing their capacity of production through a new plant in the municipality of Apan, Hidalgo. With this investment, the plant in Apan is going to be the second largest beer brewing plant in the world, measuring 200 hectares, along with the plant in Zacatecas, also owned by Grupo Modelo. The new beer brewing plant is expected to generate around 3,000 direct jobs and 7, 000 indirect jobs. Once the operations at this plant get started, 1,200 direct jobs and 5,000 indirect jobs will be generated, which will definitely be a pole for development in the region.
