Guanajuato attracting investment valued at US$1.5 billion

The Government of Guanajuato estimates to close this year with capital investment worth US$ 1.5 billion, a favorable amount, despite the tensions between Mexico and the US because of the economic politics President Donald Trump has displayed in several occasions since his campaign, and that have impacted decision-making agendas among companies.  Guanajuato had attracted investment valued at US$ 1.1 billion by July 2017, from 20 established companies. The prospect is to close the year with US$ 1.5 billion, a number slightly below the 2016 figure, of roughly US$ 1.7 billion.
