Guanajuato expects more production of Japanese plants

Leon Yasuhisa Suzuki, General Consul of Japan, affirms that Guanajuato offers an ideal environment for the Japanese automotive industry to establish production plants. The commercial agreements Mexico upholds with other countries make for another factor to attract Japanese companies, as well as the proximity to foreign markets and the simplicity of railways and roads to move the production. However, Mr. Yasuhisa has declared that there is still a long way ahead before more Mexican companies work with Japanese firms as their raw materials suppliers, and energy costs here are higher than in other countries.
