Guanajuato looking for automotive leadership in Latin America in 2020

The automotive cluster in Guanajuato, that integrates all of the vehicle and auto parts manufacturers in the State, generated exports valued at US$12,481 million by August this year, and in case of maintaining this growth rate, it would positively become the most dynamic cluster in Latin America in just three years. Foreign investment keeps building up this sector, as the terrains to build an assembly plant for the Japanese giant, Toyota, are currently being set. This plant, which will be located in the municipality of Apaseo el Grande, just 245 kilometers approximately from Mexico City, will have a US$1 billion investment.
