Guanajuato’s economy, revived by industrial parks

Industrial parks are a great strategy to attract investment and create employment, focused on enhancing the economic activity in the State. The current Guanajuato government (2012-2018) gambled on this strategy, inaugurating 23 industrial complexes with investment valued at US$677.4 million. The total number of developments in the State is 31. The most resources were allotted for the Colinas de Apaseo Industrial Park (US$63 million), Bajio Industrial Park in Salamanca (US$61.5 million), Colinas de Leon Industrial Park, VYNMSA Industrial Park in Guanajuato and Leon and Entrada Group in Celaya (all of them valued at US$50 million), according to data from the Ministry of Sustainable Economic Development.
