Harman invests US$12 million in Queretaro

QUERETARO  – With an investment of around US $ 12 million, the company Harman inaugurated the second stage of its Advanced Center of Engineering, in Querétaro.

The extension consists of the installation of a pilot factory, warehouse services, as well as validation and testing laboratories, and advanced manufacturing engineering to validate the performance of its products in terms of environmental tests, interference, thermal shock, exposure to dust and UV rays, among others.

During the event, Harman's senior vice president of global operations, Daniel Jonas, highlighted the company's growth in the manufacturing sector, as well as the competitiveness expectations offered by the state to achieve the goal of doubling the business of the company in its entirety.

Harman is dedicated to the design of products and solutions in sound, entertainment, navigation and connectivity systems for manufacturers of brands such as Audi, BMW, GM, KIA and Ford. The first stage of the Center had an investment of 228 million pesos.

In addition, the minister of Sustainable Development (Sedesu) of Querétaro, Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero, said that the state continues to be positioned as a pole of productive and economic development, which is reflected in indicators such as investment attraction and generation of work places.
