Housing prices in Nuevo Leon decrease

MONTERREY – The price of mortgage credit housing in the Monterrey metropolitan area, decreased 7.6% during the first quarter of the year, compared to the same period in 2019, according to data from the Federal Mortgage Society (SHF) index of the Ministry of Economy.

According to the SHF, the rise in Nuevo Leon was contributed by a higher price of middle class homes. By municipality, the ones that registered greater increase in the state were Garcia with 7.1%, Apodaca with 6.9% and Juarez with 6.7%; nationally the appreciation in new housing was 7.7%.

In its quarterly index report, SHF indicates that the average mortgage prices of the operations that were carried out at a national level, amounted to US$48,149 approximately.
