Iberdrola produces more energy in Mexico than in its native country

In 2018, Spanish energy company, Iberdrola, will produce more electricity for the first time in Mexico than in Spain, after years of major investments in America.

“This year we will produce more electricity in Mexico than in Spain, which gives an idea of the size of the business we have there,” said Ignacio Galán, president of the firm.

Iberdrola has 6 thousand megawatts of installed capacity in Mexico through 17 combined cycle and cogeneration power plants, in addition to 4 combined cycle plants under development.
