INA announces the departure of Armando Cortés Galicia
MEXICO - The National Auto Parts Industry Association (INA), which groups more than 700 manufacturing plants in Mexico, announced the departure of its CEO Armando Cortés Galicia.
The move comes just over a year after Cortés took the post, and also at a time when Mexico's auto parts sector has projected that this year will close with record production of US$126 billion.
INA commented that Armando Cortés "will embark on a new professional path as of August 15, 2024".
He also highlighted that, under his leadership, the group underwent important transformations that consolidated the industry's position in the global market and have promoted innovation and sustainable development.
Among the significant milestones that INA achieved under Cortés' leadership, he highlighted the strengthening of the aftermarket, the expansion of the group's membership base, and the implementation of provisions that have contributed to compliance with the various provisions of the 2019 Labor Reform and the USMCA.
"It also coordinated actions and strategies that allowed the auto parts sector to link more closely with different associations and chambers," INA said.
