Inauguration of new area in Guadalajara’s airport

The expansion to Guadalajara’s International Airport, valued at US$34 million was recently inaugurated. With the presence of Gerardo Ruiz Esparza, head officer of the Mexican Ministry of Communications and Transport (SCT), the Governor of the State of Jalisco, Jorge Aristoteles Sandoval Diaz and the President of the Administration Council of Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico (GAP), Laura Diez Barroso, the works for this expansion were inaugurated, with the goal of increasing the capacity to serve 18 million passengers per year. Moreover, the 3,300 square meters expansion and the 3,200 square meters renovation are still in process, with the goal of setting up six extra boarding gates to start service in the first half of the year 2018.
