State of Mexico, first place in industrial activity

According to the Mexican Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), the State of Mexico (Edo. Mex.) is the champion in the national industrial sector, recording growth rates of 5.1%.  The State of Mexico increased its economic activity by 3.8%, in the third trimester of 2016, that is a record that surpasses the national mean, which is 2.2%. Regarding the advances during 2016, Eruviel Avila, Governor of Edo. Mex., mentions a first place in manufacturing processes, with a participation of 11.66% of the national market; first place in the food industry, with 13.67% and first place nationally in 21 branches of the manufacturing industry, such as the textile, chemical-pharmaceutical, automotive and metal-mechanical.
