Sumitomo Riko opens its second plant in Queretaro, third in Mexico

Japan-based Sumitomo Riko (SumiRiko), one of the world's top suppliers of anti-vibration automotive rubber products, announced the opening of its second plant in Queretaro. 

The company invested US$ 20 million and recruited 300 workers to manufacture rubber components that reduce vibration and noise caused by the engine and road surface.

The new facility will supply parts for Mazda, Honda and Infiniti. SumiRiko estimates sales of US$ 20 million a year out of this plant.

This is SumiRiko’s third production site in Mexico, the company also operates a hose manufacturing facility in Chihuahua city.
