Last week, the Honda transmission plant located in Celaya, Guanajuato, produced the continuously variable transmission (CVT) number 500,000, a milestone reached in less than two years. The factory started operations in October 2015.

The transmissions manufactured in this plant are featured in the Civic sedans produced in Indiana and Alliston, Canada, as well as the HR-V and Honda Fit models assembled in the facilities of Celaya, Guanajuato and El Salto, Jalisco.

"This fact reaffirms our confidence and commitment to the country," Hiroshi Shimizu, president and CEO of Honda de México, said in a statement.
