San Luis Potosi welcomes US$44 million investment

The manufacturer Cummins is going to invest US$44 million in San Luis Potosi to produce more engines and their components in 2018. This firm builds 4 to 10 liters engines in its three plants in the State. This investment will support the production of heavy engines for the Mexican and Latin American market, as well as high horsepower engines for the US. Ignacio Garcia, Vice President of Cummins Latin America said that the engine production has increased an annual 6% over the last five years. The Company is expecting to increase its sales by 5% compared to the prior year, as its engines are now present in buses and light trucks.Â
