Mexico has managed to position itself in recent years as one of the main destinations for foreign investment in the aerospace industry, currently with active aerospace companies in 18 of the 32 states of the country.

The aerospace industry in Mexico is one of the 3 outstanding industries worldwide in terms of investment (FDI), only below the United States and the U.K. The 7th place belongs to Mexico too in terms of attracting FDI projects, according to data from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (CNUCYD) on official FDI flows in 2017.
