With an investment of US$ 11.5 million, Harman International, a Samsung subsidiary, inaugurated the first stage of its Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Center in Queretaro.

This development center will generate 360 high-value job positions that will contribute to the design and production of audio, electronic and vehicle connectivity systems.

In this facility, Mexican and foreign talent will merge to design prototypes, develop tests and introduce new products.

The facility has a validation laboratory that will be one of the most complete platforms in Querétaro and in the country, with equipment to perform all kinds of tests ranging from environmental, electromagnetic interference, dust exposure, accelerated aging and exposure to UV rays, among others.

Michael Mouser, Executive Vice President of Operations of Harman Mexico, stressed that in 2018, just over eight years after having built their first manufacturing plant in the country, the company’s Mexican operations recorded annual sales of US$ 8 billion, of which US$ 1.8 billion were contributed by the operations in the state of Querétaro.

The official added that by 2025 there are projected sales of US$ 20 billion.
