YUCATAN Yucatan offers security, connectivity, high quality workforce, professional development possibilities, as well as multiple options in terms of culture and entertainment, which makes it the right place to invest, said Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal before members of the Mexican Association of the Automotive Industry (AMIA).

Vila Dosal indicated that in recent months the arrival of large investments has been completed for more than $US 262 million thanks to the advantages offered by the state. These companies are local, national and foreign and cover a wide range of industries, such as textiles, automotive, medical and aerospace, which will allow the creation of 10,570 direct jobs and 34,700 indirect jobs.

He pointed out that a series of fiscal incentives were implemented in Yucatan in order for companies to invest in the interior of the state, as well as a regulatory improvement to reduce the time of the procedures performed by entrepreneurs in the process of investment.

He stated as well that the arrival of the Japanese company Uchiyama Manufacturing was already completed, said company will invest US$65 million and will be the first plant of that firm in the country.

Regarding location, he stressed that Yucatan is located in a privileged place, because it allows access to different points such as Asia, Europe, Canada, South America, United States, besides being the gateway to Mexico with a port like Progreso and the sixth largest airport in the country.
