SE will invest US$30 million in Industry 4.0

MEXICO CITY — The Ministry of Economy (SE) announced the investment of US$30 million by the end of this year for Programs for the Development of the Software Industry (Prosoft) and for Industrial Productivity and Competitiveness (PPCI).

The head of the agency, Graciela Marquez, stressed that these programs are aimed at helping companies improve in the field of innovation and competitiveness; she added that Ministry will be able to deliver said amount at the end of the year.

It is important to mention that since 2016, the PPCI has supported 629 SMEs in 24 states while Prosoft has opened 30 innovation centers in 15 entities.

Said programs were created in order to prioritize modernization of Mexican companies based on industry 4.0.
