Japan-based manufacturer MINO Industry inaugurates US$ 40 million plant in Guanajuato

Japanese manufacturer of die-casting automotive components MINO Industry inaugurated a plant in the Colinas de Leon industrial park where the company invested US$ 40 million.

Its first production site in Mexico will open 250 job positions when fully operational to make aluminum parts such as alternator frame ends, cases for engine control units (ECU) and power steering parts.

Jun Sugimoto, President of MINO Industry USA Co., said the company plans to supply both local and global markets from this new facility, its fourth worldwide. Other production sites are located in Japan, China and Thailand.

MINO Industry provides parts for Tier 1 auto suppliers like DENSO and its subsidiary ASMO, NSK, JTEKT and Bosch, who in turn use them to build components for Toyota, Nissan, Honda, General Motors, Ford and Mercedes-Benz.
