Two Japanese companies, Yuken Surface Technology and Takamatsu Plating Mexicana, officially inaugurated their plants at the Castro del Río Industrial Park in the municipality of Irapuato, Guanajuato.

The operations of both companies combined represent an investment of just over US$ 22 million and the opening of 47 job positions, state authorities revealed in a statement.

Yuken is dedicated to the manufacture and distribution of chemical products for surface finishes, as well as plating of plastic auto parts.

Takamatsu specializes in the surface treatment of automotive components, in order to improve the functionality and corrosion resistance of metal products. This company acquires some of its compounds from Yuken for their galvanizing processes.

Both companies provide finishing services to auto parts manufacturers that supply parts for automakers such as Toyota, Nissan, Honda and Mazda.
