The Ministry of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE) estimates that the industrial investment for the State of Chihuahua will start flowing during the second half of the year, after the US Government clarified its interests and objectives regarding the North America Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) renegotiation. Analysts have pointed out that the advances presented this week took pressure off the investors, whom had been halting investment since late 2016 due to the uncertainty generated around Donald Trump's foreign commerce policies. Jaime Campos Castuera, Industrial Director for the State office, said that new investment projects are expect to arrive in Chihuahua during the second semester of the year –there are six projects currently under evaluation, according to this office- which had been previously on hold.
