The all-new Infiniti QX50 will begin to arrive this April to auto dealerships across the U.S., but according to AutoNews, the company is not urging dealers to sale as much units as possible.
"We really want our dealers to take their time selling it, to focus on the vehicle itself, to sell customers on its styling and its technology — not to be pressured to sell it, but to sell it on its merits," said Randy Parker, vice president of Infiniti Americas, to AutoNews.
Infiniti ran a special pre-sale reservation program from Jan. 15 through Feb. 28. According to the brand auto dealers, there were already 12,000 reservations with three weeks left for the program to end. Meanwhile, company officials forecast sales of 35,000 units during 2018.
The QX50 is built at COMPAS (Cooperation Manufacturing Plant Aguascalientes), a production facility created in a joint venture between Daimler and Nissan to build Mercedes-Benz and Infiniti cars.
The mid-size SUV is equipped with the world's first variable compression engine, an outstanding design and interior space, all in a completely new platform.
