MEXICO — The Mexican airline Interjet formalized a complete bilateral interlinear alliance with American Airlines, which will allow them to offer all their routes and connections together, as well as strengthen their presence and expand their flight offerings.
The agreement will offer greater strength and competitiveness to both airlines and aims to increase passenger traffic as well as consolidate the presence of both carriers in the United States and Mexico, stated William Shaw, general director from Interjet.
Said agreement will provide too a greater added value to the transit of business and tourism travelers, in both territories.
American Airlines (which has operative centers in Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas / Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Washington) offers just over 14,000 flights in 150 countries; while Interjet serves 53 routes: 32 domestic and 21 international.
