Intretech starts construction of its plant in Nuevo Leon

APODACA, NL - With an investment of US$60 million and the promise of creating more than 1,500 jobs, the Chinese company Intretech has begun construction of its first plant in Mexico, located in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon.

This facility seeks to strengthen the industrial ecosystem in Nuevo León, particularly in the automotive, medical, energy and consumer products sectors.

The plant, whose construction will be completed in April 2025, joins the firm's three existing global facilities in China, Malaysia and Hungary.

Intretech, founded in 2011, has established itself as a benchmark in technology manufacturing, with a focus on Smart Manufacturing and the production of devices for key sectors such as automotive, where it manufactures rear-view mirrors, and the consumer sector with products such as hearing aids and devices for the Internet of Things (IoT).

During the groundbreaking ceremony, Iván Rivas Rodríguez, Nuevo León's Secretary of Economy, highlighted the importance of this foreign direct investment (FDI) for the state.

'We went in October 2023 to China and we brought this project with us. So the promotion of the advantages of our state continues to give results', he affirmed.

Rivas stressed that, despite external challenges, Nuevo León continues to focus on attracting investments that strengthen local technological capabilities and value chains.

Intretech's plant in Mexico represents not only a strategic expansion for the company, but also an opportunity to strengthen localized production and foster closer commercial ties with U.S. markets, which Intretech serves with advanced technological products.
