Jalisco adding more SMEs into the automotive supply chain

Jalisco is planning to add a growing number of SMEs into the supply chain of the automotive industry and hence, reduce imports while increasing the national content from this  sector’s exports. 130 companies were detected, both in the metropolitan zone of Guadalajara and in the industrial corridor of El Salto, which might become incorporated into the three tiers of supply for this sector, ranging from OEMs and assembly plants (Tier 1), to those that supply input for these components (Tier 2 and 3).
