Japan reaffirms its commitment to the Automotive Cluster of Aguascalientes
AGUASCALIENTES – The third stage of the Project for the Strengthening of the Automotive Cluster was implemented with the objective of promoting automotive companies in Aguascalientes, with the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Aguascalientes Industrial Cluster (CLIA).
This was announced by the Minister of Economic Development (SEDEC), Manuel Alejandro Gonzalez Martinez, who expressed his gratitude for the support of both organizations to work together, mainly in strengthening relations between Tier 1 and Tier 2 companies from both countries.
The official mentioned that through expert consultants, workshops, seminars and training programs in technical and organizational areas, such as 5S's methodologies, Kaizen and other specialized processes in tooling, stamping, forging, among others, will be given during the next 12 months to develop Mexican companies.
The meeting was attended by Shuich Takan, director of the JICA-Mexico Project; Takao Kikuchi, Kenzo Mori, Toyosaku Nakamura and Moises Huerta, expert consultants from JICA Japan, as well as the director of Industrial Development of SEDEC, Angelo Vaghi Martinez.
It is worth mentioning that the states of Guanajuato, Queretaro and San Luis Potosi are also participating in the project, seeking to obtain more and better business opportunities in the value chain, promote local employment and the regional economy.
