Japanese auto part firm expanding operations in Sinaloa

Japanese Corporation Sumitomo, is expanding its auto parts plant in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, with a 10,000 square meters surface, investment valued at US$15 million, and 1000 new jobs. With this new location starting operations in 2018, there are going to be 4 plants operating in Sinaloa: Guasave, El Carrizo, San Blas and Los Mochis. With the expansion of the plant in Los Mochis, there is going to be a total of 6000 work positions North of this State, as this is the region that has provided the best conditions for foreign investment. Sumitomo's headquarters are located in Los Mochis and since 2003 up until now, US$2.2 million have been invested, plus another allotment of US$15 million to be invested in 2018.
