Japan-based manufacturer Dowa Metaltech officially started operations earlier this week at its new production facility located in Irapuato, Guanajuato, 15 months after the company broke ground with a planned US$ 11 million investment.

Dow Metaltech is a subsidiary of Dowa Holdings, a nonferrous metals manufacturer with mining operations in Mexico.

In Guanajuato, Dowa Metaltech will supply plating services for automotive components, including controllers for air conditioners and windshield wipers, metal connectors, among others.

The project implied the opening of 34 highly specialized job opportunities.
