Japanese investment believes in Mexico

Akira Yamada, Japanese ambassador, pointed out that the number of Japanese companies in Mexico has multiplied from 399 to approximately 1,000 since 2009. There is no country other than Mexico where Japanese investment is growing as rapidly and at such massive scale. Mr. Yamada considers it is very natural for Japanese entrepreneurs to be watching what is going to happen between Mexico and the U.S., but he affirms that Japanese investors, Japanese entrepreneurs believe in Mexico´s future, why do Mexicans themselves not believe in Mexico´s future? In conclusion, the Japanese will be cautious in the short term, but there will not be any investment cancelations.
