Japanese company Kyoei Steel Ltd., which recently acquired a steel mill located in Vinton, Texas, announced it will establish its production and sales base at this facility.

Last week the company hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by CEO Nobuyuki Fukada and Vinton Mayor Manuel Leos, according to El Paso Inc. who covered the event.

Japan-based Kyoei Steel Ltd. paid US$ 52 million to Bayou Steel Group for the steel mill standing on a 234 acres property at 8100 Border Steel Rd in Vinton, Texas, a village located in El Paso County.

The production site, which now operates as Vinton Steel LLC. was established in 1962. It manufactures rebar steel used in construction and steel balls used by the mining industry as grinding materials.
