Japanese manufacturer Nissen Chemitec opens US$18 million plant in Guanajuato
Nissen Chemitec, a Japanese manufacturer of automotive injection molded parts, inaugurated its first production facility in Mexico, located in the municipality of Valle de Santiago, Guanajuato.
The company, which also manufactures chemicals for the electronics industry, invested US$18 million and opened 200 job positions in order to start operations in the Sendai industrial park.
Total workforce in the facility is expected to reach 380 associates once it becomes fully operational. Overall, the investment planned for the plant will amount nearly US$25 million, according to state authorities.
The company focuses on the production of both interior and exterior parts that require 700 to 2600-ton size machines. One of its main customers is Japanese automaker Honda, which also operates an assembly plant in Guanajuato.
