KCSM plans US$154 million investment

Kansas City Southern Mexico, has an undertaking to invest US$154 million, to be used for railway infrastructure and modifications to its Sanchez, Nuevo Laredo Backyard, in Tamaulipas; as well as expansions to its Interpuerto facilities and maintenance of tracks and new equipment and systems, affirmed Jose Zozaya, Mexico President of the Firm. 19 backyard services are currently served every day in Monterrey's metropolitan area, which are short 2 kilometer services for the industry and trains with local departures. The company transports automotive products, home appliances, consumption products, oil sub-products, aggregates and minerals, agricultural goods, among others.
