Korean automaker KIA Motors recently completed two years manufacturing cars in Mexico with an accumulated production of 417,000 vehicles at its plant located in the municipality of Pesqueria, Nuevo Leon, said the company in a statement.

KIA began operations on May 16, 2016 at its Mexican plant, which currently produces one vehicle every 53 seconds. The Forte and Rio models, as well as the Hyundai Accent, are manufactured in the plant, all of them in sedan and hatchback versions.

The results in manufacturing are accompanied by a great success in sales, which already accumulates 186,550 units since July 2015, when the brand arrived in Mexico, leading the automaker to the fifth position as the best-selling automaker in the country.
