Kia planning to assemble another model in NL

Besides producing its Forte and Rio models and the Accent for Hyundai, its sister company,  the automotive assembler Kia will manufacture more of its catalog at the Pesqueria plant in the future. According to a spokesperson, Kia is planning to produce yet another model from its catalog in Mexico thanks to the good response from the Mexican market to Kia’s vehicles, and because Nuevo Leon has the ideal capacity and labor force to continue growing. The plant in Pesqueria has currently an installed capacity of 400,000 vehicles, and the estimation is to manufacture between 250,000 and 300,000 cars this year, between the models Forte and Rio.
