KIA’s Nuevo Leon plant to begin production of all-new 2019 Forte in July

Kia Motors Mexico (KMM) will start production of the all-new 2019 Forte at the Pesqueria, Nuevo Leon plant next July, the president of the plant, Woo Yoel Park, revealed to Notimex during the second anniversary of the facility.

Luis Miguel Garcia, product manager of KMM, said it will be a unique vehicle with a more rigid structure, advanced adhesives of ultra-high resistance, six airbags, ABS brakes and stability control system. The unit will also have a reversing camera, parking sensors, cross traffic alert and blind spot detection.

Garcia added that, in terms of evolution of exterior design, the front will have a much more aggressive and aerodynamic styling, with projection fog lights and reverse lights to the bottom of the fascia.

The vehicle will be powered by a 2.0-liter engine of 147 hp and 132 lb.-ft.

The all-new 2019 Forte will arrive to showrooms across North America starting August.
