Korea revving up automotive production in Mexico

With the release of the 2018 Accent model made in Mexico, Hyundai Motors is now joining the dynamic of growth of the Mexican automotive industry as a producer and world exporter; the Korean brand is planning to assemble initially 20,000 units at the KIA plant for the national market, but this volume will multiply the next year, with plans to send the product to different destinations. Hyundai Motors Mexico has accumulated growth of 21% in domestic sales, despite the 1.4% growth rate of the general industry during the period from January through July. However, Pedro Albarran, general director of the Korean, affirmed that the introduction of Accent will prompt growth rates of 30% to close 2017.
