Laguna Automotive Cluster, optimistic for 2018

The Laguna Automotive Cluster (which groups together the cities of Torreon and Gomez Palacio) is seeing an optimistic outlook for this sector in 2018, even though the annual production growth was 4.5% from January through November this year, and general sales dropped by 8.5 %. Exportation went up by 11.9%, especially to Europe, Asia and Africa. Four companies joined the cluster this year: Yazaki, Hyosung, ZF and Lear Corporation, as they have seen growth opportunities in the region for their operations, due to the great quality of human capital and their ease to become adapted to the new  automotive sector challenges.
