Grupo Lala, the biggest dairy producer in the country, will focus its resources on the growth of its strategic businesses in Brazil and Mexico, as part of the vision of its new CEO, Mauricio Leyva, who seeks to generate value for their owners in the medium term.

Under the new administration, which began in September, the company has undertaken a series of restructuring measures in its markets in the United States and Central America, with which it expects to put them on the road to profitability next quarter, said Leyva in a conference.

Among the measures implemented by the new administration is the closure of Lala's offices in Panama, and the centralization of the Central American operation in Guatemala, as well as the move of several office activities from the United States to Mexico.

The company will seek to take advantage of the opportunities it has with its recent assets and acquisitions and will not consider divestments, at least in the short term.
