LS Cable & System Mexico invests US$100 million in Queretaro
QUERETARO - During a visit to Queretaro by company executives headed by the CEO of LS Cable & System USA, Jeong Il Byun, it was reported that the South Korea-based industrial corporation is seeking to strengthen its presence in the region, for which it is investing in its positioning in the state.
LS Cable & System has established itself as the third largest cable producer worldwide, with products that include energy and telecommunications cables and systems, integrated modules and other related industrial materials.
The group met with Governor Mauricio Kuri González, to whom they explained that they chose the industrial zone in the municipality of Corregidora, partly because of its 130 megawatts of energy capacity.
They recognized the investment climate that characterizes the state and thanked the state for the support it has given them, which generates conditions to continue investing in Querétaro.
They indicated that, as part of the expansion of its global operations, the company decided to invest US$100 million in Querétaro, with the generation of 500 highly specialized jobs during the development of the project until 2027.
The delegation also included the director of LS Cable & System USA, Seok Won Han; the director of LS Cable & System Mexico, Kinam Kim; the manager of Human Resources and Administration of LS Cable & System Mexico, Luis Ernesto Gómez Olvera.
