Martinrea invests US$ 35 million to expand capacity at Silao plant

Canadian manufacturer Martinrea inaugurated the expansion of its facility in Silao, Guanajuato, where the company invested US$ 35 million to install a new Tandem press to supply stamping products to several automakers.
The production site now has a five presses line of 5,900 tons highly automated to manufacture stamping chassis components for Nissan, GM, Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz and BMW.
Martinrea’s Silao facility is dedicated to the engineering and manufacturing of automotive parts, such as fuel tanks, steel and aluminum stamping and assemblies.
The company currently has 15,000 employees worldwide in facilities located in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Slovakia, Spain and China.
