5% of manufacturing companies worldwide use MBD technology (Model Based Definition), which eliminates the usage of 2D design and saves time and production costs. Over one half of all companies will be using this technology within a few years. Raul Canchola, technical manager for Dassault Systemes comments: “Mexico is converting from a market that used to be 100% manufacturer, to evolve nowadays into a country in charge of developing and producing technology; if Mexico wants to join into the technology design market, first we need to invest in this type of technology”.
