Mexican Aeronautic Industry prospects to double sales in 2020

The aeronautic industry in Mexico recorded exports worth US$6.4 billion in 2016 and there are prospects to double these foreign sales rates towards 2020. Rodolfo Rodriguez Quezada, General of the Mexican Air force, highlighted that the Mexican aeronautic industry could reach exports worth US$12.2 billion by 2020, generating at least 110,000 direct jobs. Carlos Ramirez Villanueva, President of the Aero cluster in Monterrey, stated that there is going to be global demand for 35,280 units in the aerospace industry over the next 20 years.
